PAssion Fiesta @ Heartlands - Chong Pang City, 5 December 2015

On 5 December 2015, Chong Pang residents came together to decorate the eco-friendly Christmas tree made from more than 700 propagated Christmas plants in bottles at the Chong Pang City Amphitheatre.

The guest of honour Adviser to Nee Soon East GROs Mr Louis Ng (4th from left) was joined on stage by FMAS President Mr Yeo Hiang Meng (5th from left), Chong Pang City Merchants’ & Hawkers’ Association Chairman Mr Steven Koh (2nd from left), PA Senior Director Ms Jasmine Kwok (3rd from right) and Miss Earth Singapore (Air 2015) Winner Ms Elizabeth Lee (extreme left) to plant the saplings in the bottles and placed them at the Christmas tree structure on stage to complete the new record. The Singapore Book of Records personnel was also invited on stage to inspect and formalised the new record for the Tallest Christmas Tree Made of Bottled Plants.

At the fiesta, Chong Pang residents also got to try for free on courses ranging from Garden to Kitchen, electric unicycle “Wheelies”, Terrarium Making, Korean Clay Craft as well as enjoying a wide array of stage performances such as Muay Thai, Kpop X Fitness and Aikido.

Launched in November 2014, the PAssion Fiesta @ Heartlands series is a collaboration between The Federation of Merchants’ Associations, Singapore and the People’s Association, with the aim to get more people to take part in interest group and community activities in the heartlands.
